Meet Raff Di Renzo, a name that has resonated powerfully in the heart of the music industry since 1998. Celebrating 25 years of unwavering dedication and creativity in September 2023, Raff, better known as Demon, R.Demon, and Nurve, has left an indelible mark on the UK music scene, captivating audiences with unparalleled talent and boundless passion.

 

Emerging as a Jungle/Drum and bass DJ, his foray into Grime truly solidified his place in the annals of musical history. Alongside 9er, he formed the iconic Grime crew, Macabre Unit, and rapidly rose to prominence as one of the most gifted producers of the genre. Their groundbreaking releases on esteemed labels such as Zodiac, Slimzos, DumpValve, and Terrorhythm helped shape the distinctive sound of Grime in the early 2000s.

 

After honing his skills in music production within the realm of Grime and earning numerous accolades, including chart-toppers on 1 Xtra and appearances on Radio 1, Raff fearlessly ventured into the realm of Dubstep, adopting the moniker Demon. In 2011, he founded Macabre Unit Digital (MUD) and embarked on an exhilarating worldwide tour as a DJ. MUD, with almost 80 exceptional releases, continues to thrive to this very day.

 

In 2014, Raff ventured into uncharted territories, experimenting with his sound and ultimately making his mark on the legendary Tectonic Recordings under the enigmatic alias, Nurve, which he now proudly bears as his primary artist name. Nurve's musical journey encompassed both Dubstep and his cherished first love, Drum & Bass, leading him to release  a couple of EPs on Function Records, a label headed by the revered Digital, in 2021 and 2024. This success paved the way for the inception of his very own label, Eleven One One Music.

 

With Demon and Nurve, Raff has graced the world with an impressive array of classic tracks and EPs. Among his most notable releases are "Chang Caine" and "Cardiac Attack" as Demon, while Nurve has gifted the world with masterpieces like "Retro" and "Wrong Number." 

 

Raff's passion for music extends beyond his productions and DJ sets. He has been an invaluable asset to Education & Bass, offering his expertise as a music technology and music business instructor. Recently, he launched the revolutionary Eleven One One Mastering website, leveraging his 15 years of mastering engineer experience to perfect artists' and labels' music across all genres. Additionally, the website provides a unique opportunity for musicians to obtain track feedback and engage in online 1-1 mentoring, demonstrating Raff's unwavering commitment to nurturing talent.
